Dr. Mahtani Clarifies Baseless Rumours With Press Release Statement

For many decades, Dr. Rajan Mahtani has dedicated his time, energy and passion towards the development and growth of the Zambian economy, society and its people. His businesses such as Mahtani Group of Companies, Finsbury Investments and Finance Bank Zambia have dedicated themselves towards the welfare and development of less privileged sections of the Zambian society. At the same time, Dr. Rajan Mahtani has made a name for himself for his transparent, ethical and honest business practices. This honest and straightforward business practice of Dr. Rajan Mahtani has resulted in many jealous people who are always looking to profit by damaging reputation of Dr. Rajan Mahtani. 

Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani was recently attacked with the Facebook post. The most controversial part of this social media post was that it was shared by Miriam Mwanawasa, daughter of the late ex-President of Zambia, Levy Mwanawasa. In this social media post. Miriam Mwanawasa claimed that Dr. Mahtani wanted to inherit the Masaiti farmland which belongs to the Mwanawasa family. Dr. Rajan Mahtani had a long-standing and transparent friendship with Levy Mwanawasa and therefore, these claims were extremely controversial. In reply, Dr. Mahtani released a press statement. 

In this press statement, Dr. Rajan Mahtani clarified that he never made such attempts or claims of taking over the Masaiti farmland during his long-standing friendship with Levy Mwanawasa. As such, the social media claims were found to be fake and intentional. The press release also confirmed that appropriate actions will be taken against Miriam Mwanawasa for sharing a controversial and baseless post without any evidence and ruining the reputation of an honest and ethical businessman.

Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani finally received joy of relief and his patience was rewarded with the judge from the Court of Appeal effectively reversed the judgement of Lusaka High Court. After more than ten years of wait, Dr. Rajan Mahtani finally received justice when the opposition, Ventriglias, were knocked down by the Court of Appeal.
