After Ten Years Of Legal Fights And Patience, Dr. Mahtani Wins The Portland Cement Zambia Case
Portland Cement Zambia case was a long-running and never ending case until it was re-approached at the Court of Appeal with final judgement coming on 31st January 2019. The case was built up by Dr. Rajan Mahtani very nearly ten years back at the Lusaka High Court. After the underlying enrolment, the case moved between different continuing dates and starting with one judge then onto the next. It took over ten years for the court to declare its ultimate choice on the Portland Cement Zambia case. Regardless of sharing basic proof and tributes which were all that could possibly be needed for the conclusion of the case, an ultimate choice by the Lusaka High Court was questionable. The last judgment was given by Justice Nkonde and he declared that Ventriglias were only shareholders of the Zambezi Portland Cement. Plainly this judgment was misled and therefore, Dr. Rajan Mahtani made the correct stride by moving toward Court of Appeal.
The Court of Appeal declared its judgment on 31st January 2019. This judgment was given by equity Mwinde which he reported during the morning court session. As per this choice, Dr. Rajan Mahtani possessed Finsbury Investments is majority shareholder of the Zambezi Portland Cement production line with 58 percent shares. Then again, Ventriglias claimed Ital Terrazzo Limited is the minority shareholders of the Zambezi Portland Cement with just 42 percent shares at the processing plant. This choice lines up with the first investors understanding which was built up in the year 2007. In view of this choice, Dr. Mahtani is plainly the lawful proprietor of the production line.
